There are thousands of professionals working in the cardiovascular supply chain in Northeastern Ohio, including medical device and pharma companies, manufacturers, and service firms.  According to the Bureau of Labor Statistics, there are more than 40,000 manufacturing workers currently employed in the region that could meet the production workforce needs of cardiovascular medical device companies. Due to favorable commute times, an above average transportation system and a positive work culture, companies are also able to draw workers from a wider geography and deeper pool than other similar size markets.

Cleveland+ has many prestigious colleges and universities that provide a pipeline of future workers as well as customized training for companies. Schools such as Case Western Reserve University, Cleveland State University and The University of Akron are known for their engineering expertise, while community colleges such as Cuyahoga Community College and Lakeland Community develop technical capabilities for medical device businesses.
